GSA VP (Finance)

Mehboob Reza is a PhD candidate specializing in occupational safety and health and ergonomics management at the Faculty of Interdisciplinary Studies. He has extensive experience as a Board of Directors on various national and international boards.

Mr. Reza holds a Master of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) from the University of Greenwich, UK, as well as being a Fellow Member of IOSH in the UK, as well as a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP). With over 13 years of professional Health and Safety management experience, he has received numerous awards for excellence in leadership relating to international projects and industries in collaboration with high-level organizations. Aside from his academic duties, he is also an active member of the campus community as a Term-Lecturer and Volunteer at the School of Graduate Studies.

As a passionate advocate for improving literacy, Mr. Reza strongly represents the principles of cultivating the seeds of higher education among young people by advocating for graduate students’ rights – as students are the future leaders of our society.

As Vice-President of Finance for the GSA, he provides a range of financial and administrative support services. In collaboration with the GSA Staff and Executives, ensure the long-term financial stability of the GSA. Oversee the development of the GSA’ annual budget, oversee the approval of any GSA assurance plan by the Council members, as well as supervise the management of the organization’s revenues and expenditures.
